The design
Jason Walker. More than 250 appearances and over 90 goals for Barrow, and the winning goal at Wembley in the 2010 FA Trophy final — the sort of afternoon supporters measure other afternoons against.
Embroidered rather than printed, which is the right finish for a name like this. For the ones who remember the moment.
The garment
- 100% organic ringspun combed cotton
- 180 gsm, single jersey
- Medium fit, set-in sleeve
- 1x1 rib at the neck collar, self-fabric neck tape
- Double-needle topstitch at the sleeve and bottom hems
Stitched, not printed
Premium embroidery: real thread, real texture, a bit of weight to it. Nothing sitting on the surface to fade or lift, so it wears in rather than out. It is the finish people notice without quite knowing why.
Wash inside out at 30°C, hang to dry, and keep the iron off the design.
